Cookie Policy
How True Legal Advice uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can manage your preferences.
Last updated: 29 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how True Legal Advice ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit truelegaladvice.pro ("Website"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly. Our office is located at 120 Robinson Road, #14-01, Singapore 068913.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function properly, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use a site. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. In this policy, "cookies" refers to cookies and comparable technologies unless stated otherwise.
Cookies may be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remaining until they expire or you delete them). They may be set by the website you visit ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services embedded on the site ("third-party cookies").
2. How we use cookies
True Legal Advice takes a minimal approach to cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking, or analytics platforms that profile individual visitors across websites. The cookies and storage mechanisms we use fall into two categories:
Essential cookies and storage
These are necessary for the Website to function and cannot be switched off through our cookie banner. They include:
- Cookie consent preference: when you click "Accept all" or "Essential only" on our cookie banner, your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key
tla_cookie_consent. This remembers your preference so the banner does not reappear on every visit. No personal data is transmitted to our servers for this purpose. - Security and session data: standard server-side session handling necessary for form submission security and protection against automated abuse. This does not involve persistent tracking cookies on your device.
Functional cookies (map embed)
The homepage and contact page embed a Google Map of 120 Robinson Road so the office can be found without an extra click. The map iframe loads with the page. Google may set its own cookies and collect usage data according to Google's Privacy Policy. You can still choose "Essential only" on our banner for other optional storage; the map remains visible because it is how we publish the office location.
3. Cookies we do not use
To be explicit, we do not currently use:
- advertising or retargeting cookies;
- social media tracking pixels;
- third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics or similar platforms;
- heatmaps or session recording tools;
- cross-site tracking for marketing purposes.
We review our Website periodically and will update this policy if our practices change.
4. Managing your cookie preferences
When you first visit the Website, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the screen offering two choices:
- Accept all: stores your preference and acknowledges third-party cookies that Google may set on the office map.
- Essential only: stores your preference for this website's own storage. The office map still loads; Google's cookies on that embed are controlled by Google.
You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for truelegaladvice.pro and refreshing the page. The cookie banner will reappear, allowing you to make a new choice.
Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect Website functionality, including form submission and consent memory. Consult your browser's help documentation for instructions:
5. Third-party cookies
The office map on the homepage and contact page is an embed from maps.google.com. Google may set cookies on your device when that map loads. We do not control those cookies. Google's use of data is governed by its own policies. You can manage Google account settings at Google Account settings.
External links on our Website — such as links to government registries or professional bodies — may also set cookies when you navigate to those sites. Those cookies are governed by the respective third party's policies.
6. Data protection and your rights
Cookie consent preferences stored locally on your device are not personal data transmitted to us unless you also submit a contact form or otherwise provide information. For details on how we handle personal data, including data collected through forms and in the course of legal services, see our Privacy Policy.
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore, you have rights regarding personal data we hold about you. Cookie-related local storage on your device is under your control through browser settings and our cookie banner.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change Website functionality, add new features, or when legal requirements evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
