Terms of Service
Terms governing your use of the True Legal Advice website and the legal advisory services we provide from Singapore.
Last updated: 29 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at truelegaladvice.pro ("Website") operated by True Legal Advice ("we", "us", "our"), and set out general conditions applicable to legal advisory services provided from our office at 120 Robinson Road, #14-01, Singapore 068913. By accessing the Website or instructing us for services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or our services.
1. About True Legal Advice
True Legal Advice provides corporate advisory, personal legal, and property conveyancing services to clients in Singapore. Our Website provides general information about our practice and a means to contact us. Content on the Website is for informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice for your specific situation.
A client-solicitor or client-adviser relationship is formed only when we have agreed in writing to accept your instructions, conducted appropriate conflict checks, and confirmed scope and fee arrangements. Submitting an enquiry through our contact form does not create a client relationship or oblige us to accept your matter.
2. Website use
You may use the Website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- use the Website in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations in Singapore or your jurisdiction;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, servers, or data;
- transmit malware, spam, or harmful code through the contact form or any other Website feature;
- scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the Website without our prior written consent;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation when submitting enquiries;
- use automated tools to submit bulk enquiries or interfere with Website operation.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Website for users who violate these Terms or whose conduct we reasonably believe poses a security or operational risk.
3. No legal advice through the Website
Information published on the Website — including service descriptions, process explanations, and general legal commentary — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not tailored to your circumstances and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal advice.
Legal outcomes depend on specific facts, applicable law at the relevant time, and procedural context. Before taking action based on Website content, you should consult us or another qualified legal adviser about your particular situation. We accept no liability for actions taken in reliance on Website content without obtaining specific advice.
4. Enquiries and communications
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form or email us, you agree to provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge. We will use enquiry information to assess whether we can assist, conduct conflict checks, and respond to your request. Response times are typically within one business day but are not guaranteed.
Communications sent through the Website or email are not automatically confidential until a client relationship is established. Do not send highly sensitive information until we confirm we can accept your instruction and advise you on secure communication methods. For urgent matters, telephone us at +65 6225 7148 during office hours.
5. Legal services engagement
Legal services are governed by a separate engagement letter or terms of business provided when you instruct us. Key terms typically include:
- scope of work and deliverables;
- fee structure and billing arrangements;
- responsibilities of both parties;
- confidentiality obligations;
- termination conditions;
- limitation of liability provisions permitted by applicable law.
In the event of conflict between these Website Terms and an engagement letter, the engagement letter prevails for matters relating to legal services. These Website Terms continue to govern your use of the Website itself.
6. Fees and payment
Fee arrangements are agreed individually before substantive work begins. We do not publish fixed fees on the Website because legal work varies significantly in scope and complexity. Engagement letters specify how fees are calculated — whether on a fixed-fee, hourly, or other agreed basis — and when payment is due.
Failure to pay invoices as agreed may result in suspension of work and, where permitted by law and professional rules, retention of documents until outstanding fees are settled. Interest on overdue amounts may apply as specified in your engagement letter.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Website — including text, graphics, logos, layout, and design — is owned by or licensed to True Legal Advice and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Website content without our prior written consent.
Documents we prepare for you as part of legal services are provided for your use in connection with your matter. Ownership and usage rights for deliverables are specified in your engagement letter.
8. Third-party links and services
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, including Google Maps on our contact page. These links are provided for convenience. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Website, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, True Legal Advice shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Website, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for claims arising from Website use — excluding liability that cannot be excluded by law — shall not exceed the amount you paid us for Website-related services in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred Singapore dollars, whichever is greater.
Liability for legal services provided under an engagement letter is governed by that engagement letter and applicable professional rules, not by this limitation alone.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless True Legal Advice, its advisers, and staff from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
12. Confidentiality
Once a client relationship is established, confidentiality obligations apply as set out in your engagement letter and under applicable professional rules. Information shared before a relationship is confirmed will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, but may not attract full legal professional privilege until we accept your instruction.
13. Conflict of interest
We conduct conflict checks before accepting new instructions. If a conflict exists or arises during your matter, we will inform you promptly and take appropriate steps, which may include declining or withdrawing from the matter in accordance with professional obligations.
14. Termination of Website access
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Website or any part of it at any time without notice. We may terminate or restrict your access if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law — shall survive.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or Website use shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
We encourage you to contact us first at enquiries@truelegaladvice.pro to resolve concerns before pursuing formal dispute resolution.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its intent.
